The Arenal volcano national parks, they are non profit organizations  manage by the state and  some  are private but under the environmental payment services and , following the  costa rica, state  rules and polices , about how to  protect the natural resources and wild life and forest reserves in a sustainable way. but also they national parks and reserves they are  are  open to the public and for every one, they can not close your entry , but you show follow some rules or policies  mean while you use the park facilities. , about smoking,or taking plants or orchids out the rain forest , , also for any reason people should climb up to the  mountain  (arenal volcano), or get out of the trails. thats why we recommmed you, to get  your guide before getting to the park.we have the email in contacts available for you.

The Cerro Chato belongs to the arenal volcano national park but since now , we tell you that this one has been closed- !iyt is totally Ilegall to climb up there!. (more than 10 months ago , july 2016), by the SINAC, national conservation system , the one manages All the national parks in costa rica, and also, the Minaet (Park rangers ministery). besides people were and they have been getting lose  (besides going tothe top and crater  without a guide but, also since tHAt happen, BUT , As a Visitor , you must know THAT There is not insurance, at cerro chato ), the last months. but Officially close this  year , and any one even a company or any guide can take you. besides the tourist police, and red cross, Minaet  and others  institutions and organizations like: Prosecutors ministery. they are against about climbing to Cerro Chato.when people climb to the cerro chato  arenal volcano top the ones , arenot allow  to go up there, , one people get in atrouble causes alot of sost and problems for the the ministeries even the staff , we as a National parl, we get  involve in  a terrible error and Ourselves we have get a broken leg or something like that, plus a demand, beisdes all of that the Cerro chato it is close Do not buy that Ilegall trip. FOR ANY EXTRA INFO BETTER E-MAIL TO: US.
